Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Gentle Tide website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

Description of Service

Gentle Tide provides private guided tours of London and surrounding areas. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Private walking tours
  • Royal London tours
  • Cultural experiences and museum visits
  • Customized itineraries
  • Professional tour guide services

Booking and Payment Terms

Booking Process

All bookings must be confirmed in writing via email or through our website booking system. A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from Gentle Tide.

Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking
  • Full payment is due 48 hours before the tour date
  • We accept major credit cards and bank transfers
  • All prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP)
  • Prices include VAT where applicable

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Client Cancellations

  • More than 72 hours before tour: Full refund minus 10% administration fee
  • 48-72 hours before tour: 50% refund
  • Less than 48 hours before tour: No refund
  • No-show: No refund

Gentle Tide Cancellations

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a tour due to circumstances beyond our control (severe weather, guide illness, etc.), we will offer a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.

Tour Conduct and Safety

Client Responsibilities

  • Arrive at the designated meeting point on time
  • Follow the guide's instructions for safety and group management
  • Respect local customs, laws, and regulations
  • Inform us of any mobility issues or special requirements
  • Bring appropriate clothing and footwear for walking tours

Safety and Insurance

While we take every precaution to ensure your safety, clients participate in tours at their own risk. We strongly recommend that all clients have appropriate travel insurance. Gentle Tide carries public liability insurance but is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Gentle Tide and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Privacy and Data Protection

Limitation of Liability

Gentle Tide's liability for any claim relating to your tour is limited to the cost of the tour. We are not liable for:

  • Actions of third parties

Force Majeure

Gentle Tide is not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, terrorism, strikes, or pandemics.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services will be resolved through binding arbitration in London, England, in accordance with English law.

Age Requirements

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents and guardians are responsible for the behavior and safety of minors in their care during tours.

Photography and Marketing

By participating in our tours, you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes unless you specifically opt out. If you prefer not to be included in marketing materials, please inform your guide.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
